Welcome to Bohunky0's Gameware~Board Games

As on my freeware pages, every game on this page is free to download, free to use for ever. And? There in no particular order. Who needs order? So, go ahead, feed the need, for more games for free! They are on other servers and I have no control over them. Be sure to use your virus scanner and make certain that your definition files are up to date.  As far as I know, all of these games are free of viruses. But you just never know. If you are going to err, let it be on the side of caution.
                                                                                                Thanks Bo

WordBox for Windows

{eBoggle} This word game is based on Boggle where words are put together by connecting their letters horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. This one takes the game to a new level with two players who can play over the Internet, which Paul and I did. We played for over an hour determined to get over five points and increase our statistics. Be sure to maximize the interface otherwise you can't see both players' scores. The interface isn't fancy, but the game is highly addicting. Players will kick themselves after the game ends because a pop up displays all the possible words and points that could've been earned for the game. The game requires VB runtime.

Sea3D v1.1.5 [3.0M] W9x/2k/XP FREE

{Settlers of Catan game} We've reviewed Sea3D before, but it was formerly known as Settlers3D. It's based on the Settlers of Catan board game. With its new facelift, the program comes with all maps and special rules for the Seafarers expansion and built-in game-finding software to find other Internet games online and built-in ELO ladder rating system. Not only can players play through the Internet, but also through a network and even on the same computer. When playing the ladder games, the game stats are automatically sent to the site where everyone's rating is updated.

NetTacToe v1.2b [1.3M] W9x/2k/XP FREE

{Ol' fashioned Tic-Tac-Toe} Tic-Tac-Toe never goes out of style, as each generation adopts it and plays it anywhere. If you have paper and a pen, you can play the game. If you're at the beach or outside, play it in the dirt. Even Hollywood Squares, the Tic-Tac- Toe style game show, made a comeback a few years ago. It's no surprise this one offers the opportunity to play over the Internet or on a network while chatting with others

Reflect v1.1 [1.6M] W9x/2k/XP FREE

{Game of speed and accuracy} In a galaxy far, far away within your PC, attack targets using the computer mouse without missing and quickly. The more successful you are, the faster the targets appear. It's a game of reflex and it's nerve-wracking, at least for me. Kids just learning to use the mouse can use the game to get better at that, but the game gets fast... FAST. Even ol' me, longtime mouse user, got frustrated by the third or fourth round. The game keeps stats, including number of hits, number of misses, and points. The mouse pointer does not move like the mouse pointer speed and movement that you use regularly. Instead, it feels heavier and slower than the norm.

Kiki, the Nanobot v0.9.0 [3.9M] W9x/2k/XP FREE

{3D puzzle game} This isn't a puzzle game in terms of anagrams, putting things together, and such. Rather, you're in a 3D box controlling Kiki, the only sane robot left to repair the maker, according to the "story." The blue-colored mutant robots are stupid (hey, that's what it says on the Web site) and spend their time shooting each other. Read the Games Items page to get a better understanding of how it works - that helped me the most. If you get motion sickness, this game won't cure it... rather, it does the opposite and I'm one of the unlucky ones. Despite the setback, I played it long enough to get a feel for it and tell you all about it. It took a few moments to get the hang of the keyboard movements and jumping. Once past the "getting used to it" stage, it's a different and challenging game.

Tilerama v1.4 [3.7M] W98/2k/XP FREE

{Tile puzzle game} Though I am a puzzle addict, it doesn't mean I'm good at it. In Rubik's Cube, I could only ever get one side to have the same color or create patterns when the cube is in its original form. Sliding tile games - don't ask how bad I was at those... really bad. They come in different sizes and looks, but for the most part it's a little plastic square shape with nine tiles taking up room for ten. The objective is to get the tiles back in order to form its initial picture or put numbers in the right order. The program has single game play and playing against the computer mode. There are timed and non-timed games. The game support skins and you can even use WAV and MIDI files for sound effects. Tilerama takes it a step further and offers various pictures and sizes. This version comes with Tilerama MG, a memory game similar to Simon. The computer completes a sequence of random moves and your have to repeat them. The sequence gets longer as you continue to perfectly copy them. The Web site has extra boards available for downloading so you can't get bored.

Snug v1.3 [320k] W95/2k/XP FREE

{Puzzle game} Snug is an older game, but some of the best games are not new games. The goal is to fit five randomly shaped pieces into a square using the mouse to move, flip, and rotate the blocks. It takes no time to figure out the game, and kids can play it. If you want more games like this, look around the Web site for more. HexMaze draws hexagonal mazes and you have to find your way out from one point to the other. You know those little puzzles with tiles (and one empty space) that slide around? I hated those things, and never had the patience. TileGuru works similarly, in which the player works to get the nine tiles in numerical order. These games will amaze (or puzzle) you for hours.

Settlers3D v0.9.9 [2.2M] W9x/2k/XP FREE

{Board turned PC game} Settlers3D is software version of the Settlers of Catan, a game of discovery, commerce, and settlement. You're an immigrant with the goal of being the first to settle on this remote island of Catan, which offers resources such as brick, wheat, wood, and ore for building your settlements. As you progress, your settlements become cities with advanced buildings and services. Trade with other players or seaports to get commodities you need. The first player to get 10 points from a combination of roads, settlements, and special cards wins. The board and game pieces are shown in three dimensions with quality texture mapping to make things look just like the board... only no worries about pieces getting moved inadvertently, or Fido stepping on the board and messing it all up. The game comes with an excellent step-by-step tutorial and options to play against people over a network, the Internet, or on the same PC. Just as I have no willpower for books, I have little willpower for board games. Must... resist!

Parmem Chess
Check and mate. This is a free 3D game of chess, one caution, you may have seen this game being played on StarTrek. Come on, your using a computer looking up games to pay on your computer...Don't tell me your not a Trekie!

Fractal Forge v2.8.0 [789k] W9x/2k/XP FREE
