Splitter & Merger v4.0 [27k] W9x/2k/XP FREE Splitter & Merger is a tool to split large files into smaller and easier-to-handle pieces. It offers additional file compression, disk-spanning, path creation, automatic part deletion and more. You can choose to have the program create a self-extracting .exe file that can automatically reunite the split pieces or select the split file from within the interface and merge it. Splitter & Merger comes with an easy-to-use interface. The download is less than 30k, and no install is required.
Splittur v1.01 [462k] W9x/2k/XP FREE http://www.fixlinks.does.it/

{File splitter} Split a large file into parts for archiving, sending via e-mail, or uploading to a Web server that has limitations such as the size of the file or the file type. The split files are executable, enabling the original file to be automatically recreated. Create custom messages to display when a file is going to be recreated, add a 64x64 picture, automatically unpack zip archives, and password-protect the files. The interface comes with helper menus and previews to guide you. When sending the pieces to someone, that person has to do nothing special to pull them back together, since the files are executables.

SWF Compressor v? [80k] W9x/2k/XP FREE SWF Compressor is an small application for compressing Flash 2/3/4/5 or MX SFW files. Another nice feature of this application is that you can right-click a SWF file and choose "Compress SWF" from the context  menu. Once compressed though, the SWF files can only be played in  Flash Player version 6.
TaskZip v2.07.0001 [2.7K] W9x/NT FREE {Backup to a ZIP file} I don't feature many catastrophe-squelching programs, because frankly... they're a dime a dozen. This one, however, is different. With it, you can automatically archive any given range of folders to a ZIP file. Schedule as many "jobs" as you need (depending on your comfort level). Backups can be set to run at any time, and a tutorial is included to step you through the process (as if the point-n-click interface wasn't easy enough). Like we always say, it's a good idea to backup your system often. At least this tool will help make the task (seemingly) invisible. "For each backup job, you can even maintain up to 99 older backup copies of each zip archive file."
UltimateZip v2.6 [2.3k] 9x/2k/XP FREE This free utility will compress and decompress pretty much any archive file you throw at it. There's also e-mail functionality, automatic backups, shell integration, and a batch extractor for doing multiple files all at once (plus a ton of other features).
ZipCentral v4.01 [1.3M] W9x/2k/XP FREE {ZIP file manager} ZipCentral claims it can zip everything, the program can unzip files put together by other zipping tools and archiving tools that use ZIP technology. It comes supplied with many of the features offered in paid versions, including a right- click menu for opening any file or viewing contents, the ability to create self-extracting archives and archives spanned across multiple disks, and a drag 'n drop functionality. Prefer another language other than English? French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish are covered. http://zipcentral.iscool.net/

This is a versatile and powerfule program for Windows 95/98/NT 4/2000 and XP which will satisfy you without costs:
ZipInstaller v1.0 [45k] W98/2k/XP FREE http://www.mywebattack.com/gnomeapp.php?id=106423

ZipInstaller allows you to install and uninstall applications that do not provide an internal installation program. Many times, a program does not require installation, and can simply be unzipped and saved to any folder. While there is nothing wrong with that, you may forget about where you saved the program, or even that you still have it. That's where ZipInstaller comes in - it extracts all files from the Zip file, copies them to the destination folder you select, creates (optional) shortcuts in the Start Menu and in your desktop, and adds an uninstall module to allow you to automatically remove the software in the future. Handy tool for frequent downloaders.

Zippho v2.1.2 [2.1M] W9x/2k/XP FREE http://www.mywebattack.com/gnomeapp.php?id=105899

ZippHO is a zip/unzip utility that provides support for most popular archive formats, including RAR, ZIP, CAB, ARJ, and several others. It comes with an attractive, easy-to-use interface and many advanced features, including support for directory structures within archives, archive testing, encryption, internal viewer, favorite folders and more. You can also use the program to create self-extracting .exe files, repair archives, and optionally extract multiple archives at once. Zippho also integrates into the Windows Explorer right-click menu for easy access. The program is nicely designed, well-featured, and easy to use, but appears to load significantly slower than most others.
