The Waldo County Public Health Planning Team was formed in April 2006 in order to bring together individuals from various areas of expertise to plan for public health emergencies and disasters . The first topic of discussion and planing was Pandemic Influenza preparedness and the development of an "Epidemic and Disease Outbreak" appendix to the Waldo County Emergency Operations Plan.
